Privacy Policy

1) What the extension does (single purpose)

The extension’s single purpose is to take the URL of the tab you are viewing and request a shortened version of that URL from reviewbrokers.net, then display it and copy it to your clipboard.

2) Data we process

• Current tab URL: when you click “Shorten”, the extension reads the active tab’s URL and sends it to our shortening endpoint at https://www.reviewbrokers.net/ to generate a short link.
• Clipboard: after a short link is created, the extension writes that short link to your clipboard for convenience.

We do not collect, store, or sell personal information from the extension. The extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies, and it does not persist data locally beyond what the browser itself manages.

3) How we use and share information

The URL is transmitted to our link-shortening service solely to return a short link. We do not share this URL or generated short links with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. Standard web server logs (e.g., IP address, user agent, timestamp) may be recorded by our servers for security and operational purposes, and are retained only as long as necessary for those purposes.

4) Permissions and justifications

• activeTab: allows the extension to read the current tab’s URL when you click the button, so it can be shortened.
• host_permissions (reviewbrokers.net): required to send the URL to our API endpoint that creates the short link.
• scripting: used in the popup context to run minimal code that triggers the request and copies the result to your clipboard.
• Remote code: the extension does not execute remote code. It only makes an HTTPS request to the ReviewBrokers API and displays the JSON response.

5) Data retention

The extension itself retains no data. Any server-side logs kept by reviewbrokers.net are retained for a limited time for security, debugging, and abuse prevention, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

6) Security

Communication with the shortening service is performed over HTTPS. We employ reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect service infrastructure; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7) Children’s privacy

The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8) Your choices

• You can remove the extension at any time from your browser’s extensions page.
• You can clear your clipboard at any time from your system controls.

9) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
